OKTS...-...E Suspended optical cable type "8" with an external dielectric power element based on a modular design
The OKTS-D Aerial Fiber Optic Cable is a high-capacity self-supporting "Figure-8" solution designed for high-density overhead networks. Its stranded loose tube (modular) design supports up to 288 fibers, making it the primary choice for telecommunication backbones and urban fiber deployments.
The cable features an external dielectric strength member (FRP rod), eliminating the need for grounding and ensuring immunity to lightning and electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for suspension on power line supports (up to 25 kV) and railway infrastructure. A tracking-resistant version (OKTST-D) is available for areas with extreme electrical field potentials. Its robust construction ensures reliable data transmission even at temperatures as low as -60°C.
