LAN implementation and installation
mdtech offers comprehensive services for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Local Area Networks (LAN).
A Local Area Network (LAN) is the foundation for the smooth and efficient operation of any modern enterprise. A local computer network includes many key components: cabling, passive and active network equipment, uninterruptible power supplies, network devices, peripherals, and specialized software.

A Local Area Network (LAN) is the foundation for the smooth and efficient operation of any modern enterprise. A local computer network includes many key components: cabling, passive and active network equipment, uninterruptible power supplies, network devices, peripherals, and specialized software.
Implementing an enterprise LAN is a complex process that requires meticulous preparation, plan development, and project documentation. Successful execution demands significant experience and a high level of professionalism.
Important: Improperly executed LAN installation can cause failures, hindering access to critical information and reducing the company's overall operational efficiency.
LAN Implementation Stages
The process of organizing a local network, executed by mdtech technical specialists, consists of the following mandatory stages:
-
Preliminary Stage (Analysis & SOW):
-
Client requirements are analyzed, and the facility's specifics are studied.
-
A Statement of Work (SOW) is developed for creating a LAN that meets current business needs and offers ample capacity for scalability. The document is agreed upon with the customer.
-
-
LAN Design:
-
Project documentation is developed, including cable routing plans, a list of necessary active and passive equipment, and a detailed work plan and schedule.
-
-
Equipment Supply:
-
The complete set of active and passive equipment, agreed upon during the network design phase, is delivered to the customer's site.
-
-
Installation and Assembly:
-
The local network is installed, which involves preparing cable routes (drilling, tray installation), cable pulling, installing protective casings, outlets, and assembling communication cabinets.
-
All segments are connected into a single network, linked to the equipment, and labeled.
-
-
Configuration and Testing (Commissioning):
-
Commissioning work is carried out, including thorough instrument-based verification (using a cable analyzer) of the LAN's operability and the optimization of its parameters according to the requirements specified in the SOW.
-
IP addressing, network routing, and active equipment configuration are performed to achieve optimal network performance.
-
-
Commissioning and Support:
-
Customer personnel are trained on the basics of using the new network.
-
All necessary documentation (network diagrams, instructions) is handed over.
-
The warranty on our work is 1 year. We also offer flexible technical maintenance plans, including preventive inspections and prompt troubleshooting.
-
Cost of LAN Installation Work
The cost of laying and installing a LAN is determined by power requirements, system complexity, floor area, the number of workstations, and other factors. Pricing for additional services is tailored individually for each project.
To estimate the cost and scope of work, request an mdtech engineer's site visit. After the inspection, we will propose an optimal commercial offer that addresses all your needs.
