OCTS...-T... is an "8" type suspended optical cable with an external dielectric power element based on a central tube
OKTS-T Aerial Fiber Optic Cable is a self-supporting "Figure-8" type cable designed for overhead installation on communication poles, power line supports, and railway infrastructure. The design features a central loose tube containing up to 48 fibers, coupled with an external dielectric strength member (FRP rod) joined by a solid polyethylene web.
Being entirely dielectric, the cable requires no grounding and is immune to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for environments with electrical field potentials up to 25 kV. For regions with high electrical stress, a tracking-resistant version (OKTST-T) is available. With a robust operating range down to -60°C, it ensures reliable connectivity even in Arctic climates.
