The Extreme Networks Mobile Backhaul E4G-200 Cell Site Router base station of the platform for reverse data transportation in mobile networks
The Extreme Networks E4G-200 is a scalable, carrier-grade cell site router designed for the demanding requirements of 4G mobile backhaul. With a shallow 10-inch depth and a ruggedized build, it is purpose-built for deployment in space-constrained and environmentally harsh cell site cabinets.
The E4G-200 enables mobile service providers to transition from legacy circuits to cost-effective Ethernet transport without sacrificing performance. It converts 2G/3G TDM connections into an Ethernet stream using standardized pseudowire techniques. Key to its 4G readiness is its hardware-based synchronization support (1588v2 and SyncE), which ensures the low-latency and high-timing accuracy required for LTE handover and signal integrity.
