HP 5900AF Switch Series — is a family of high-density, ultra-low-latency Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches designed for modern data centers. As part of the HP FlexFabric solution, the 5900 series is ideal for server access layers in large enterprises or the core layer in medium-sized networks. With a massive switching capacity of 1.28 Tbps, it supports up to 48 x 10GbE ports and 4 x 40GbE QSFP+ uplinks in a 1U form factor. The Intelligent Resilient Fabric (IRF) technology simplifies management by virtualizing up to four switches into a single entity. The AF (Adaptive Flux) models feature reversible airflow to optimize cooling based on the data center's hot/cold aisle design.
