HPE FlexFabric 5900CP Switch Series — is a versatile, high-density Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch designed for converged data center environments. It features 48 converged SFP+ ports supporting 1/10GbE and 4/8 Gbps Fibre Channel, along with 4 x 40GbE QSFP+ uplinks. This allows for seamless integration of Ethernet and FC SAN (FCoE, iSCSI, FC) within a single 1U unit.

With ultra-low latency (<1.5 µs) and a switching capacity of 1.28 Tbps, the 5900CP is built for high-performance applications. It simplifies network management through HPE IRF technology, which can stack up to 9 units. The switch is SDN-ready with OpenFlow support and offers ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade) capabilities, allowing for firmware updates without network downtime.
